I’m not going to yell at the kids today.
and I’m gonna stay sober next time we play
and then maybe I’ll remember how the songs go
I won’t medicate with anything stronger than tea
I’ll only hang around with people who are worthy of me
and this year I’m gonna learn how to say no

and i could be everything I want

but as it is i’m busy sorting through the past

I’ll spend money on only what I need
I’ll be nice to myself when I don’t succeed
and I won’t take shit from anyone..
